Michael is a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Texas and specializing in psychiatric nursing. Formerly for 20 years, Michael was a licensed social worker and registered counselor before going into nursing. He attended the University of Texas and Thomas Edison State University obtaining a BA degree in Psychology. Additionally, he holds a BA degree in Law from BAU School of Law. His career change into nursing began in 2004 and he is currently working on a Master's degree in Nursing. Michael served as a Case Manager for the chronically mentally ill at Tarrant County Mental Health in Fort Worth, Texas, and worked with troubled youth at Keller High School. Michael also worked with the Veteran's Administration in Program Development and with the J.T.P.A., (Jobs Training Partnership Act), serving as a board member for the J.T.P.A., initiating a program which extended funding to double the population previously served. In 1992, Michael was Certified in Analytical Hypnotherapy and became a trainer for the American Psychotherapy and Medical Hypnosis Association. In 1994, he became Certified in Trauma Resolution. From 1992 to 1997, Michael was a staff therapist for PMH Counseling Associates in Bedford, Texas, working with relationships, abuse, trauma, social anxiety, shyness, and performance anxiety. He is married with one daughter, and believes in a caring, non-judgmental approach to assist someone in reaching their life goals. Michael enjoys helping his clients identify their strengths, and uses text-based hypnosis when appropriate to help identify and overcome negative thinking patterns.
