Rita received a Bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in family studies at Arizona State University West. Her experience at that level was gained as a staff counselor for the Crisis Pregnancy Centers of Greater Phoenix. She then became an adoption counselor at this non-profit organization. She continued her education at the University of Phoenix and received a Master of Counseling degree. She completed her internship and practicum at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Phoenix where she obtained experience in treating adults with varied addictions. While attending graduate school, Rita simultaneously completed a two-year program at the Gestalt Institute of Phoenix. Rita's most recent experience is in the area of eating disorders. She worked for Remuda Ranch in Wickenburg, Arizona for seven years. In addition to her role as a Primary Therapist, Rita facilitated an Addictions Recovery Group for adolescent and adult females while they were receiving in-patient treatment at Remuda for recovery from their eating disorders. Rita is credentialed by the State of Arizona as a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Licensed Independent Substance Abuse Counselor. She is currently in the process of launching her private practice in Wickenburg, Arizona.
